Austin Williams cleared a 22-foot fence in a crash at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California, back in June.

The 25-year-old had just started a qualifying run for the weekend’s USAC/CRA Sprint Car event when his No. 2 car seemingly hit a bump while entering Turn 1, sending it into a series of rolls before it vaults over the fence. The session was immediately red-flagged.

Williams is reportedly the first driver to clear the fence in the 21-year history of the half-mile clay oval, but fortunately he was able to walk away from the crash under his own power.
