The 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series wrapped up in September when Simon Pagenaud won the race and the championship at the season finale in Sonoma, California.
Last week, many of the teams, drivers and more were on hand at the IndyCar Awards Banquet in Indianapolis to reflect on the 16-round season.
However, with that now in the rear-view mirror, it was time for IndyCar to take a look back at some of the more memorable off-track moments that took place during the course of year.
Highlights include an appearance by series drivers on “Family Feud,” as well as “American Ninja Warrior” and “Dancing with the Stars.” The pre-race festivities at Texas Motor Speedway for the Firestone 600 were also memorable, with Robosaurus making a comeback and many of the drivers calling each other on air as officials tried to dry the track.
