WATCH: Sights and sounds from Mercedes' Stars and Cars event
DTM driver Daniel Juncadella defeated 2015 DTM champion and Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein in the annual Stars and Cars event in Stuttgart, becoming the inaugural champion.
Juncadella made it through all four knockout rounds to face Wehrlein in the final round, as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were knocked out in the semi-final round.

In each knockout round, drivers were given identical cars and moved to different vehicle classes as the rounds progressed. The vehicles used in the event included the Mercedes-AMG A45 4MATIC in the first round, the Mercedes -AMG C63 S in the quarter-finals, the Mercedes -AMG GT S in the semi-finals and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in the final round.
The event also featured showdowns with former F1 and DTM driver David Coulthard, double F1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen, and DTM champion Bernd Schneider.
Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff, as well as non-executive chairman and three-time F1 World Champion Niki Lauda were also on hand.
