Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed over the weekend that Dodge is interested in returning to NASCAR, which if it happens would be huge news.

Dodge ranks third in NASCAR Premier Series race victories with 217, trailing only Chevrolet and Ford.

There have been a whole lot of very cool Dodges in NASCAR and one of the most remarkable was the No. 71 K&K Dodge that owner Nord Krauskopf and driver Bobby Isaac took to the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1971 and set 28 speed records with.

Check out the FOX Sports story of the legendary Bonneville run in this episode of “Beyond the Wheel.”
