Fans weigh in: Bobby Labonte is favorite RPM driver of all-time
Although Bobby Labonte achieved all of his NASCAR success with Joe Gibbs Racing, he is still the all-time favorite among the drivers who have raced for Richard Petty Motorsports.
Labonte drove for RPM and team owner, seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty for three seasons from 2006 through 2008. The 2000 NASCAR Premier Series champion received 22 percent of the total vote to be the fan favorite.
Two-time Premier Series winner Marcos Ambrose finished a close second, receiving 20 percent of the vote.
Current Hendrick Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne was third after 17 percent of fan voted for him as their all-time favorite. Like Ambrose, Kahne also won a pair of races driving the No. 9 RPM Dodge.
Other drivers who received votes: Bobby Hamilton (16 percent), John Andretti (12 percent), AJ Allmendinger (seven percent), Aric Almirola (5 percent) and Jim Paschal (one percent).
