Michael Annett will sit out tonight's Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway because of illness, FOX Sports has confirmed.

Annett will be replaced in the No. 46 Pilot Flying J Racing Chevrolet by Justin Allgaier for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. HScott Motorsports said Annett was suffering from flu-like symptoms.

Allgaier is currently a full-time driver for JR Motorsports in the XFINITY Series, where he is third in the points standings. Allgaier finished second in Friday night's Food City 300 XFINITY Series race at Bristol.

Annett currently is 37th in the Sprint Cup Series in points, with a best finish of 20th in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in July.

Allgaier raced full-time in the Sprint Cup Series in 2014 and 2015 for HScott Motorsports. He has 75 career starts in NASCAR's top series, with his only career top-10 finish coming at Bristol in the spring of 2015. He finished 12th in the Bristol Night Race later last summer.
