NASCAR community reacts to Jeff Gordon racing at Indy, Pocono
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will sit out at least the next two races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Pocono Raceway as he continues to battle concussion-like symptoms, Hendrick Motorsports confirmed Wednesday morning.
Four-time Cup champion and FOX Sports NASCAR analyst Jeff Gordon will be the substitute driver in the No. 88 Chevrolet for this Sunday's Brickyard 400, as well as the following week at Pocono.
After the announcement, various members of the NASCAR community reacted with a mix of well wishes for Earnhardt and excitement to see Gordon come out of retirement.
I was the biggest @JeffGordonWeb fan as a kid, now he's driving the car I drove last week! How cool is that?! Only has a few wins ??
