The NASCAR Foundation hosted its inaugural Honors Gala at the Marriott Marquis in New York City on Tuesday night.

The pinnacle moment of the event was the presentation of the sixth annual Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award, which was given to Andy Hoffman, Founder of the Team Jack Foundation.

The Team Jack Foundation was founded by Hoffman in 2011 after his son developed pediatric brain cancer. His foundation receives a $100,000 donation from the NASCAR Foundation.

The Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award, named after the late Executive Vice President of NASCAR and Chairwoman Emeritus of the NASCAR Foundation, honors a NASCAR fan who has made a major positive impact on children in their local community.

The Gala honored the life of France, who passed away on Aug. 29. The France family was in attendance and hosted the event, including NASCAR CEO Brian France, his wife Amy, International Speedway Corporation CEO Lesa France Kennedy, and NASCAR Vice Chairman Jim France.

Many NASCAR drivers were in attendance of the event along with celebrities, musicians, and other VIPs.
