Tyler Reddick, last year’s runner-up in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, will move to Chip Ganassi Racing next year, where he’ll share the team’s No. 42 XFINITY Series Chevrolet with Kyle Larson.

Mike Shiplett will remain the team’s crew chief on the car in 2017.

In 62 career Truck Series starts — all but one with Brad Keselowski Racing — Reddick has three wins, three poles, 24 top-five and 39 top-10 finishes.

“Tyler is one of those rare young talents that everyone here at Chip Ganassi Racing feels has a chance at the next level in NASCAR,” said team owner Chip Ganassi in a statement released by the team. “We feel that he can learn a lot being here with our team and getting to work with Kyle as they both have very similar racing backgrounds. I am looking forward to seeing him behind the wheel of one of our cars.”

“It’ll definitely be a learning curve, but sharing the car with Kyle Larson will speed up my learning process,” Reddick said. “I feel very fortunate to be a part of a winning organization and without a doubt plan to win races as well. I would like to thank every single person that has put forward an effort to help elevate my career to this point.”
