There’s good news and bad news, weather-wise in Daytona Beach, site of tonight’s Can-Am Duel 150 Daytona 500 qualifying races (7 p.m. ET, FS1).

The bad news is that as of noon ET, a 55-minute practice session for the Duels was officially canceled by rain.

The good news is that the forecast looks more hopeful for this evening, with only a 30 percent chance of showers at 7 p.m., dropping to 15 percent at 8 p.m., according to weather.com.

Of course, this is Central Florida and the weather changes quickly sometimes.

NASCAR has indicated that if the Duels are rained out tonight, they would be run during the day Friday.

Speaking of Friday, the forecast for the weekend at Daytona is nothing short of sensational, with only a 10 percent chance of rain on Friday and Saturday and zero percent on Sunday for the Daytona 500 (2 p.m. ET, FOX).

FOXSports.com will continue to update the weather situation throughout the day.
