Kurt Busch struggled with his No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet early in practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, specifically the bumps in the corners, which upset the balance of his car. He was far from the only one wrestling with setups at the fast 1.5-mile track.

Busch, who will drive a fifth Andretti Autosport car at Indy, will attempt to do something only John Andretti, Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart have attempted before. In 2001, Stewart finished on the lead lap in both races, the only driver to ever accomplish that feat.
