Stepping away from anything you love is always a tough move.

The same goes for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers when finding the right time to hang up the helmet.

Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards -- three of the sport's biggest superstars -- have walked away from full-time Cup racing in a span of two years.

On "NASCAR Race Hub," Gordon, Richard Petty, Rusty Wallace and some of NASCAR's current drivers discussed the factors involved in making such an important decision.
