An updated look at how many draft picks the Boston Celtics actually own
The Boston Celtics have a ton of draft picks at their disposal. They essentially own the Brooklyn Nets' future and have incoming protected first rounders from places like Memphis and Dallas, too.
Really, there's way too many draft picks for anyone to keep track off the top of their head, which is why the team was nice enough to pass out an updated list during Monday's introductory press conference for David Lee, Amir Johnson and Jae Crowder.
This is the currency Boston will use to rebuild from the bottom up. Either these picks turn into talented players, or general manager Danny Ainge uses a bunch of them in a trade to bring in a star.
This requires patience; the Celtics aren't going anyway so long as all these draft picks are in their back pocket.
