HOBOKEN, N.J. (AP) Authorities say an arrest has been made in a New Jersey hit-and-run accident that killed the cousin of Ben Simmons, the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA draft.

Officials plan to announce details Friday at Hoboken Police Headquarters.

Authorities say 21-year-old Zachary Simmons died after being struck by an SUV while crossing a street in Hoboken on June 25. The vehicle fled the scene.

Ben Simmons played one season for Louisiana State University before being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers. The victim's mother told WCBS-TV that her son had gone with Ben Simmons to the NBA draft the week he was killed.
