Blake Griffin and Chris Paul embarrassed Damian Lillard in Clippers' blowout
Damian Lillard had a pretty rough night in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
It would have been one thing if the Portland Trail Blazers had merely lost to the Clippers by 20 points, as they did in Game 1. But that wasn't the end of the story for the Blazers point guard, who was on the receiving end of highlight-worthy plays from Clippers stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.
Paul made things a little bit personal, apparently talking a mad amount of trash to Lillard before knocking down a shot right in his eye:
That's pure old-man-game from CP3, the kind of advantage that comes with a five-year age difference. As for Griffin? He demonstrated just how healthy he is by treating Lillard like a pesky gnat in need of being swatted:
Nice flop, Dame. And poor Mason Plumlee, who tried to protect the rim after Lillard's poor defensive showing. He got dunked on by Griffin for his efforts.
It was a recurring theme on the night, as Griffin looked like his old self against the Blazers. If that's the case, then Portland might not stand a chance in this series.
For now, the Clippers walked away with the win in Game 1. Everyone celebrate!
