Cardale Jones continues Twitter assault on Joakim Noah
By Vincent Frank
Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones isn’t necessarily afraid to rattle some cages. In what has been a continuing feud between Jones and Chicago Bulls big man Joakim Noah, the former decided to take on Noah as Chicago was hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
"I see @JoakimNoah ain't here to block shots, get dunked on chump," Jones wrote on Twitter Friday night.
Jones’ tweet was in response to Noah getting dunked on by LeBron James.
As we said, this was the continuation of a not-so-lighthearted exchange between the two athletes.
Jones and his Buckeyes took in Game 2 of the Bulls-Cavs series in Cleveland earlier this week. Apparently, Noah didn’t take too kind to Jones cheering on his home-state team in what was a blowout win for the Cavaliers. That led to an exchange of words between Jones and Noah through the press and social media.
According to Anthony Lima of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, Noah mouthed "you ain't in the SEC" when Jones was addressing the crowd on Wednesday.
"Watch yo mouth before I give you these hands chump," Jones later tweeted at Noah.
I am almost surprised that Jones didn’t invite Noah to Temecula.
As it is, Noah and the Bulls got the last laugh in Game 3. Derrick Rose banked in a last-second three pointer to give Chicago the win and a 2-1 series lead.
That didn’t stop Jones from throwing more shade Noah’s way after the game.
"I actually like the Bulls but I can't cheer for them against my home town team, I just HATE @JoakimNoah PERIOD!" he wrote.
It will be interesting to see if Noah has a response or if he’ll let his talking take place on the court.
