Cavs waive second-year G Green

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived second-year guard Danny Green.

A second-round draft pick in 2009 from North Carolina, Green averaged 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in four preseason games. Last season, he appeared in 20 games for Cleveland.

The Cavs announced the move shortly after their 111-95 victory over Philadelphia in Cincinnati on Tuesday night.

With Green gone, it appears undrafted rookie Manny Harris from Michigan has made Cleveland's season-opening roster.
