The 2015-16 season has yet to start, but with just a few scrimmages under their belt, the Boston Celtics have already seen a few things they like in some of their new players.
Right now, Amir Johnson sits atop the list. Here's what Brad Stevens had to say about the former Toronto Raptor after Boston's first live scrimmage over the weekend, per MassLive:
This is great news for a team that badly needs Johnson to impact games on defense this season.

They lacked any sort of rim protection last year, and Johnson's ability to guard the paint and defend in space makes him such a key newcomer.

One who impressed head coach Brad Stevens was Amir Johnson. Asked specifically about the big man, Stevens replied: "There's little things that go into winning that you try to talk about that just don't get noticed enough. And we saw it yesterday. In a 10-minute scrimmage, I thought he was terrific defensively in a system he hasn't played in yet -- largely because he played with a motor regardless of whether he made mistakes or not."
