Celtics owner responds to the angry fans doubting Boston's draft
Thanks to the lottery, the Boston Celtics just barely missed out on the unanimous top two players in the draft -- Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram. Landing one of the two would have been huge for the franchise, but they were forced to settle for the third pick. With it, Boston selected Cal forward Jaylen Brown.
The Celtics were excited to land the wing scorer, but fans didn't share the same feelings. Here's how a TD Garden full of fans reacted.

Co-owner Wyc Grousbeck saw the underwhelming excitement from Celtics fans and wasn't impressed.
"Well yeah, you know 14 years, that's probably the worst one I've gotten," he said of the reception, via Boston.com.
Grousbeck did assure fans that the front office knows what its doing despite fans having the freedom to react however they choose.
The pick likely came down to Brown and point guard Kris Dunn, who went at No. 5 to the Timberwolves. Brown fills a bigger need for the Celtics, given the depth they have at the point.
