Clippers let slim lead slip away in disappointing loss to Wizards

Deandre Jordan and Chris Paul both earned double-doubles in their loss to the Washington Wizards on Sunday night.
This is the Clippers’ first loss in four games.
Wizards guard Bradley Beal had a career-high 41 points.
There has been multiple games where a least one player from Lob City has posted a double-double.
In this game more than one player earned a double-double This is the good news that came out of the blow out loss to Washington.
Also there was other good news as well in this game for Los Angeles. Their bench out-scored Washington’s bench 35 points to 17 points.
Four starters scored in double figures and a total of 6 players altogether did.
Clippers had 6 players in double figures, but came up just short in DC.

Jordan and Paul each had spectacular performances.
Deandre had 13 points and 17 rebounds.
This is his 9th double-double on the season. He led all Clippers in the rebounding department. The closest person behind him was Blake Griffin with 7.
Altogether, they had a total of 40 rebounds.
Paul earned his 11th double-double on the season by recording multiple assists once again. In this loss he recorded 12 assists and 13 points.
As a team, the Clippers had 28 assists. Once again the next Clipper with 7 assists was Griffin. In both these departments the Clippers out-shined the Wizards.
What hurt Lob city tremendously was only converting 7 of 23 three point attempts and in the box score on paper, the game was close. Bradley Beal was the difference maker in this game. Beal is the reason the Clippers lost.
They had trouble defending him and if they want to win a championship they will have to improve their defensive game. They have to be able to guard every player one on one on every team.
Defense wins championships.
Finally, if the Clippers want to win a championship they must work on their defense.
