Could Duke's Justise Winslow be the answer for the Magic in the draft?

The Orlando Magic won't really know how their NBA draft night might go until Tuesday, when the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery takes place. Anything prior to that is very much speculation, as the draft order is still in the air.

But with the fifth worst record in 2014-15, Orlando is likely to end up with a top-5 pick. And if Duke's Justise Winslow falls to the Magic, he could make sense for Orlando, Orlando Magic Daily's Brett David Roberts writes: "Most of all, Justise Winslow would fill a need in Orlando. The Magic desperately need a top-flight defender at the wing, and Aaron Gordon has only shown individual efforts and snapshots of brilliance that may or may not equate to much.

"Winslow is quick and could keep even the speediest guards in front of him. He could defend 2s and 3s, and he has the lateral foot speed to help Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Payton wreak havoc defensively on the perimeter."

Is Winslow redundant for the Magic, though? Oladipo and Payton make up the backcourt of the future in Orlando, and Winslow might not have the size to be a small forward in a league that's emphasizing length on the perimeter to enable switching on defense. He does have a massive wingspan, however, and allowing Winslow to develop as part of a dynamic young perimeter group could do wonders for his long-term outlook.
