D'Angelo Russell denies not wanting to play for the Sixers

The Philadelphia 76ers need a point guard, and Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell is arguably the best one available in this year's draft. There's a good chance they take him with the third overall pick, despite a recent report that Russell doesn't want to play in Philadelphia.

But according to SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria, Russell is actually perfectly fine playing with the Sixers:

“'The workout [with the Sixers] was great,' Russell said on SportsCenter. 'What guy wouldn’t want to play for any NBA team? I [saw] Fran Fraschilla Tweet 95 percent of the Tweets this week are just a misdirection, and starting with that one. I never would say anything like that. I know what I’ve come from and I know what I’ve been through and it would just be a blessing to play in the NBA.'”

Obviously, it doesn't matter which team Russell wants to play for. He can either sign with whoever selects him or not play in the NBA. The decision is easy, and Russell is smart enough to know it.
