D'Angelo Russell made a half-court shot while doing a sit-up
Los Angeles Lakers rookie D'Angelo Russell found his shooting stroke after the All-Star break.
Over the past month, Russell has increased his field-goal percentage from 41.5 percent to 46.3 percent, with the biggest jump coming from beyond the arc — Russell's 3-point shooting has dramatically improved from 33.2 percent to 48.1 percent.
Russell's improved accuracy — coupled with Lakers head coach Byron Scott giving him more freedom — has resulted in some Stephen Curry-esque off-the-dribble shots from Russell, including the notable game-clincher against Brooklyn.
But apparently Russell has taken a cue from Curry's pre-game routine, too, as he was seen practicing — and making — insane trick shots before the Lakers' home tilt with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday:
Yes, that's a half-court shot on the way up from doing a sit-up.
The reigning MVP recently praised the rookie's talent, but if Curry isn't careful, Russell will be on his corner in no time.
