DeMarcus Cousins may not be a fan of the Kings' draft
Although he didn't say it directly and might have been referring to something else altogether -- perhaps he was stressing over the Brexit vote -- DeMarcus Cousins doesn't appear to be too excited about the Sacramento Kings' draft on Thursday.
Shortly after the team traded down from eighth to 13th and selected 18-year-old Greek center Georgios Papagiannis, Boogie sent this tweet:
The two-time All-Star never has been one to hide his frustration with the franchise's decisions, coaching staff or overall (lack of?) direction. Remember this example of fun with emojis from last summer?
In any case, Cousins now has even more company at center. In addition to himself and Papagiannis, Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein also will battle for playing time in the middle.
"We had our guys at the No. 8, but obviously they were picked before," Kings GM Vlade Divac said, according to The Associated Press. "So we made a decision to go down and turn that pick into three more and build our team for the future."
Earlier on Thursday, Sacramento also sent veteran shooting guard Marco Belinelli to the Charlotte Hornets for the No. 22 pick in the draft. The Kings chose Syracuse's Malachi Richardson with that pick and added Kentucky freshman Skal Labissiere with the No. 28 pick.
Anyway, it might be time to fire up the next round of trade rumors involving Cousins.
