Did Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook go too far in ripping Mavericks' Villanueva?

After Monday's Game 5 win over the Mavericks that sent the Thunder to the second round of the playoffs, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were both more candid than usual when giving their postgame remarks.

Durant came right out and called Mark Cuban "an idiot" for saying that Westbrook wasn't a superstar, and then the pair teamed up to absolutely destroy Dallas' Charlie Villanueva, who attempted to mess with Westbrook during this series more than once.

"He's an idiot, too," Durant said.

"He said a lot," Westbrook said. "Now he gets to go home, do whatever he needs to do to get ready for next year to sit down and watch 82 more games like he did this year."

"He might not even be in the league," Durant said.

That's about as brutal as it gets.

Villanueva started all of this by interrupting Westbrook's pregame dance routine before Game 2 of the series, and then walked up and stood behind Westbrook during pregame warmups again on Monday. That hardly is worthy of fellow players wishing for your career to be over, but it's clear Durant and Westbrook weren't at all happy that they were being messed with by a player on the opposing team.
