Draymond Green admits Warriors aren't as confident without Stephen Curry

The Warriors will try to advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs on Wednesday when they host the Houston Rockets, but they'll be doing so without the reigning MVP on the floor.

Stephen Curry is expected to miss at least two weeks with a sprained MCL injury, one that occurred in the first half of Golden State's Game 4 victory when Curry slipped on a wet spot on the court.

The Warriors are up 3-1 in their first-round series, and the Rockets don't seem capable of winning three straight even with Curry out of action. But with his availability for the remainder of the postseason technically unknown, Draymond Green admitted that the team's confidence level takes a hit when Curry isn't around.

"We're still very confident, but if I told you our confidence level was the same without Steph, that's a lie," Green said, via Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports. "Our confidence with Steph is through the roof. It's beyond high. Without Steph, it's still at the roof. So we're not losing much confidence. We still believe in ourselves, we still think it's very possible for us to make a run and hold it down until he gets back."

The Warriors are deep enough to cause the league's elite problems even if Curry can't make it back. But there's no question that the chances of the team repeating as champions with Curry even a little bit hobbled are significantly diminished.
