Draymond Green finds out he's an All-Star from mom on live TV
Maybe Draymond Green expected to be named to the NBA All-Star Game, but how he found out was definitely a surprise.
While being interviewed Thursday by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the versatile Golden State Warriors forward all of a sudden heard a familiar voice on the air. It was his mother, Mary Babers-Green, live from his hometown of Saginaw, Michigan, and she delivered the news that he'd been selected to the West squad.

"Once the interview started, I started talking and I heard my mom's voice," Green told the San Jose Mercury News. "So when I heard her voice, I didn't know what was going on, and I said, 'Ma?' She just kept yelling my name and then she told me I was an All-Star -- congratulations. It was amazing. I had to keep from crying."

His mother told the Mercury News: "It was exciting because I knew how excited Dray would be. But I had to keep it a secret, and that was the hard part, because Dray and I talk about everything. This has been one of his lifelong dreams."
