Draymond Green is the latest Warrior moving up All-Star voting charts

Published Jan. 7, 2016 1:54 p.m. ET

The second returns for this year's All-Star voting are in, and Kobe Bryant remains the overall leader in votes, while LeBron James remains the top vote-getter in the East.

The two guards and three frontcourt players in each conference who receive the most votes will have the honor of starting in the midseason exhibition, and players in all but nine of those 10 spots remained unchanged.

But in the West, Draymond Green has overtaken Blake Griffin for a starting frontcourt spot, after moving up from fifth to third since the last batch of results was released.

Some additional notes:

- Carmelo Anthony has closed the gap on Andre Drummond for a starting spot in the East, and now trails him by less than 6,000 votes. Anthony getting a bump from his friends was evidently more impactful than the Pistons' attempt at a viral video was in terms of receiving additional votes.

- Kyrie Irving has widened his hold on the second starting guard spot in the East. He now leads Kyle Lowry by almost 30,000 votes, and leads Jimmy Butler by more than 50,000. Despite Butler's recent rise, Irving's play (along with the fact that he plays on the same team as LeBron) will likely keep him in one of those two starting spots.

- In the West, Green grabbing a starting spot shouldn't be much of a surprise. The Warriors have been dominant all season, and Green is their most important player not named Stephen Curry. But Kawhi Leonard has been equally fantastic for the Spurs, and the fans have noticed -- Leonard currently trails Green by less than 1,500 votes, and that's a battle that will likely be tight until the very last vote is tallied.

- It's worth noting that Green and Leonard wouldn't have to fight it out for that last starting spot if this wasn't Kobe Bryant's final NBA season. But he continues to lead all vote-getters by a wide margin, and the fans have made it clear that they aren't leaving it up to chance in terms of getting to see Bryant play alongside the best players in the league one last time before his storied career is finished.

The complete results are listed below. The next update will come Jan. 14, and the announcement of the starters will take place live on TNT on Jan. 21.
