Draymond Green rips Russell Westbrook for calling his kick intentional
Most people would probably keep their head down and wait to see what discipline might be coming if they kicked a co-worker in the groin. That seems like the prudent move.
Draymond Green is definitely not most people. And after Sunday night's Game 3, in which the Golden State Warriors forward flailed and nailed Steven Adams in his private area, Green is on the offensive.
First things first: Green doesn't want to hear that what he did to Adams is the same as what Cleveland Cavaliers reserve Dahntay Jones did to Bismack Biyombo on Saturday. You might thing they're similar, but you're wrong -- because Green is a scientist, and he knows that an arm is not the same thing as a leg. #FactsOnly:
More importantly, however, Green is in no mood for Russell Westbrook. During his Game 3 postgame interview, the Thunder point guard made it very clear that he thinks Green's kick was intentional:
According to Green, though, that's not how it went down. He claims that he was trying to sell the call, and that his flop went awry and ended up harming Adams. And for that, Green somehow blames Westbrook:
Oh, and just for good measure, Green had to point out that Westbrook kicked him, too:
On both the flopping and the Westbrook points, Warriors coach Steve Kerr agrees:
Okay, fine. We get that Green doesn't feel like he did anything wrong, and that his team is supporting him. That's cool. But can he at least apologize to Adams? No? Got it.
Let the animosity reign, then -- because it makes the NBA awesome. This series absolutely needs to go seven games, and Green absolutely needs to keep sharing his opinions.
The only person who might disagree is Adams. Poor, poor Steven Adams.
