While the Sacramento Kings will soon shift focus from Sleep Train Arena to the Golden 1 Center, current attendance numbers look fantastic.
According to the Sacramento Bee, average attendance for the Kings has been around 17,285 fans per game -- the highest average for the team since 2006-07. The report mentions the franchise has increased attendance 25 percent since rumors of a move to Sacramento in 2012-13. With capacity of 17,300 at Sleep Train Arena, the Kings have a sellout nearly every game.
If the NBA season ended today, Sacramento would not be in the playoffs. That being said, however, the Kings are just two games back of Utah for the eighth seed. Optimism remains high, especially considering how early in the season we still are.
