Former NFL star Tony Gonzalez: NBA players 'can't handle the physicality' of football

No one will ever doubt Tony Gonzalez's athletic ability or toughness. The dude was, for sure, the best tight end who ever stepped on a football field.

Now, caught by TMZ (apparently in a mall), Gonzalez has some thoughts on NBA players playing football after being shown the famed video of Elfrid Payton burning Chris Paul for a touchdown in a football game from last week:

Gonzalez isn't wrong. And if anyone can talk, it's probably him. He did play both basketball and football at University of California. He's pretty reasonable, stating there are some basketball players who have the toughness to play football, though you could argue playing in the NFL takes more craziness than it does toughness.
