Hawks Assign Mike Scott To The D-League
Mike Scott will be sent down to the NBA D-League for the second time this season. He will play for the Long Island Nets.
The Atlanta Hawks announced today that they will send five-year forward Mike Scott to the NBA D-League for the second time this season.
Scott will be assigned to the Long Island Nets.
He played two games in the NBADL last week for the Delaware 87ers averaging 8.5 points and 3.0 rebounds. Scott missed the first 18 games of the season as dealt with a sore left knee.
Thus far, he has played in just three games for a total of 29 minutes and has recorded two points in those three games. Sending him back to the D-League gives him another chance to work on getting his rythym back that was lost after missing substantial time.
The Hawks have been utilizing the D-League quite a bit this season, already sending rookie DeAndre Bembry on two assignments.
The Hawks take on the Orlando Magic tonight as they try to improve their 12-12 record.
