Iman Shumpert Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI
Iman Shumpert was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Atlanta on August 10th, stemming from a traffic stop.
Iman Shumpert was arrested by the Fayette County police on August 10th on the suspicion of driving the influence, according to a release from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The suspicion came during a traffic stop for a lane violation. There is no court date that has been set.
According to TMZ Sports, Shumpert was under the influence of marijuana when pulled over for a lane change violation and not having his taillights on. After failing a field sobriety test, the officer determined Shumpert was high.

TMZ also reports that Shumpert admitted to smoking marijuana and that police found marijuana in a mason jar inside the car. He was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana under an ounce. He was also cited for a lane change failure.
Shumpert, 26, said he was on his way to pick up his father at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The airport is roughly 30 minutes from Fayette County.
Shumpert played his college basketball at Georgia Tech, located in Atlanta. Fayette County is just south of the city.
The Cavs said that they have talked with Shumpert about the incident and are monitoring the progression of the case.
