James won't play in Lakers' matchup with Pistons

DETROIT (AP) — LeBron James will miss Friday night's game for the Los Angeles Lakers at Detroit.

The Lakers, who have fallen well off the pace in the Western Conference playoff race, have been managing James' minutes down the stretch. He's played under 34 minutes in each of the team's past four games, including Thursday night's loss at Toronto , but this will be the first game he's missed entirely since Feb. 2 .

Lonzo Ball (left ankle), Tyson Chandler (neck) and Brandon Ingram (right arm) are also out for the Lakers, and Josh Hart (right knee) is questionable.

Reggie Jackson (right ankle) is questionable for the Pistons.
