Jeff Schwartz no longer the authority with Nets he once was

The Nets have a roster diverse with different agents. That wasn't the case just a few years ago, as NetsDaily points out:

After years of being a critical player in the Nets personnel picture, Jeff Schwartz's Excel Management Group is no longer as powerful. His two big clients on the Nets last season, Deron Williams and Mirza Teletovic, have moved on. He still counts the Nets starting point guard --and their top pick-- among his guys. In fact, Schwartz has represented every starting Nets point guard going back to Jason Kidd!

It's quite the change for the guy who some jokingly referred to the Nets "vice president for basketball operations." Two years ago, he repped five players as well as Jason Kidd.

Now the Wasserman Media Group, built by Arn Tellem, is the big agent, repping four Nets, including three starters. ASM, Andy Miller's firm, has three players, all among the team's youngest. Schwartz's Excel Management and Tanner Sports represent two players each.

Schwartz's presence mostly left when Jason Kidd left for Milwaukee. He's Kidd's agent, and it might not be such a coincidence that the Bucks have stacked up on Schwartz clients ever since Kidd's arrival with the team. Don't forget Schwartz is also a close friend of Bucks owner Marc Lasry.
