Joel Embiid takes part in 76ers scrimmage (Video)
Joel Embiid is now on the court playing actual basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers
To some at this point, seeing Joel Embiid play an actual NBA game for the Philadelphia 76ers is on the same level as seeing a unicorn fly through their bedroom window. Not taking part in any action since he was drafted No. 3 overall by the team two seasons ago, you were starting to get the feeling that he would never be on the court again as he battled injuries.
Well, this season it appears that trend will change. For the first time in a while, the former Kansas Jayhawks star seems completely healthy and ready to get his career started at the highest level that basketball has to offer.

And if you needed any evidence of this, Wednesday there is video proof that Embiid is ready to show everyone that he can be the star that we all thought he could be.
Tuesday afternoon the 76ers held a practice that was open to the media, and in the short clip below, you can see Joel Embiid — well, playing actual basketball. (h/t For The Win)

With that said, yes, it does look like there’s some rust there to shake off before he does turn into the NBA All-Star that some thought he could be coming out of college.
For right now, he’s just trusting the process as he gets back to playing the game of basketball.
