Kevin Durant thinks NBA gave Draymond Green special treatment
Kevin Durant might not agree with the NBA's decision not to suspend Draymond Green for kicking Steven Adams in the groin during Game 3 of the Western Conference finals, but he certainly isn't surprised by it.
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward spoke with reporters ahead of Tuesday's Game 4 and indicated that he thinks Green got special treatment from the league regarding his non-suspension.
"I didn't even think it was something we should be talking about. They're not going to suspend Draymond Green," Durant said. "He's one of the premier players in the league on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the game. They're not going to suspend him.

"I didn't even really think about it. I knew the league was going to let him play or fine him or upgrade him to a Flagrant 2. We all knew that was going to happen. The league is about business."
Whichever side of the argument you're on, you can't deny that Durant has a point.
Just 24 hours before Green's groin-kick incident, the NBA suspended Cavaliers reserve Dahntay Jones for a similar hit on Raptors center Bismack Biyombo.
Had it been Kyrie Irving or LeBron James who delivered the hit to Biyombo, would the league still have issued the suspension ahead of a crucial Game 3 playoff matchup? Probably not.
One thing is for sure, the NBA is clearly lacking consistency when it comes to doling out punishment for unecessary contact.
