Kings' DeMarcus Cousins named Western Conference Player of the Week

Published Jan. 25, 2016 3:13 p.m. ET

Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins has looked ridiculously impressive in the past week of NBA action. He was rewarded accordingly, as NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week.

According to NBA's official Twitter account, Kemba Walker from the Charlotte Hornets won the honors for the Eastern Conference. Cousins had a career-high 48 points with 13 rebounds during Sacramento's victory over Indiana on Saturday night. ESPN's Marc Stein reports that Cousins has seven 30-point, 10-rebound games this month -- no other player has multiple games with such a stat line in January.

Cousins has 11 games with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds, which leads the NBA. The Kings play Walker and the Hornets tonight at 10:00 p.m. EST.
