Kings guard Darren Collison arrested on a domestic violence charge

Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison was arrested and charged with domestic violence Tuesday.

Collison was booked on one count of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. He was also booked on a bench warrant of driving while his license was revoked.

The Kings released a statement Tuesday.

"We've been made aware of the situation. The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information and once all facts are known we will take appropriate steps."

Collison, 29, has played seven seasons in the NBA. He spent last season with the Kings, playing in 74 games.

Collison signed a three-year, $16 million deal with the Kings in 2014.
