Kings unleash a cute dog as their (temporary) social media manager
Something strange and awesome happened over the weekend in Sacramento. When the Kings played the Pacers on Saturday night, they put a dog in control of their social media channels.
The confusing campaign, led by a corgi named Minnie and her owner Kevin Chiu, was called #CorgiTakeover and was not just limited to Twitter. Minnie was featured on all social media channels (including Instagram, Vine and even Snapchat) on Saturday evening. She also helped with PA announcements before the game.
With help from owner Chiu, the dog seemed to master social media. There was a "DeBarkus Cousins" joke and also a Vine video that played on how challenging it must have been for a dog to type using paws.

After the game, Minnie also had a chance to meet NBA legend Peja Stojakovic (who now works in the Kings' front office) and posed for a photo with rookie Willie Cauley-Stein. She got to hang with some of the cheerleaders on the team as well.
