Klay Thompson says he'll approach Team USA's gold medal game like 'it's a Game 7'

Klay Thompson led Team USA with 22 points in the 82-76 win over Spain on Friday, so he was the one who got some face time for the walk-off postgame interview. And there were plenty of basketball fans watching who were amused by his choice of words.

When asked how he would approach the next game -- a contest Sunday against either Australia or Serbia with the gold medal on the line -- here was Thompson's response:

"Well, it's a Game 7," he said.

The last time Thompson played in a Game 7, of course, was when his Warriors lost at home to the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. Team USA, obviously, will be hoping for a different result.
