Knicks C Robin Lopez's mascot reign of terror continues
When the New York Knicks signed Robin Lopez this offseason, they got a big man who will set solid picks, defend the rim well and help his team's overall rebounding effort. They also got a 27-year-old who has a bone to pick with mascots all over the NBA.
Lopez's battle with mascots is well-chronicled at this point. He's gone toe-to-toe with the furries from the Pistons, Kings and Hawks, among others. But Lopez's most heated rivalry seems to be with the Toronto Raptor. And on Tuesday night, a new chapter in the battle between the two unfolded:
Hitting the Raptor with his own sign is one thing. But did Lopez really have to loom over the fallen mascot as he tried to get back up? That has to be worth at least a pregame technical foul.
but why?!!!!!! #winknudge @Sportsnet @rolopez42 @DaveZarum pic.twitter.com/kimDF3uA6P
