Lakers get cracked in Cleveland, now 11-19 on the season

After ending their previous losing streak last night in Philadelphia, the Lakers lost again to the defending champs.
If the Lakers were really going to beat the Cavaliers, it was going to come down to a mental edge.
Unfortunately for them, this time they didn’t have that.
Instead, Los Angeles kept it close, but couldn’t capitalize. Coming out of the first quarter, the team held a five point lead that wouldn’t hold up.
Going into halftime, the Lakers trailed by just three, but wouldn’t hold the lead after any of the remaining quarters.
LeBron James had only ten points through the first three quarters. Despite their best efforts, Los Angeles coughed up 16 to James in the fourth quarter alone.
Cleveland went on to score 30 collectively in the final frame, avoiding what could’ve been their third home loss of the season.

One shining takeaway from the game was the noticeably improved play of Nick Young. Still getting back to full strength, Young managed to drop 32 points and led the Lakers in scoring.
Off the bench, Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson continued to show strength as they combined for 32 points.
Rookie Brandon Ingram was one point and one assist away from having a triple double. He would’ve the been the youngest player to do so in NBA history.
With the loss to the Cavs in the books, they’ll now try to end yet another losing streak.
The next three games are all road visits for the Lakers. Those include runs to Charlotte and Miami before ending in Orlando.
Following those games, the battle for Los Angeles between the Clippers and Lakers will take place on Christmas Day.
There’s still time to improve, but losing always hurts — especially when trying to rebuild from scratch with a young core.
