Lakers vs Nets Preview and Prediction: Can LA End Their Losing Streak?
The Lakers are finally getting healthy and have the perfect opportunity to end their losing streak against the 6-17 Brooklyn Nets.
The Lakers are coming off a loss where they blew a huge lead against the Sacramento Kings, but they should be able to leave Brooklyn with a victory.
The Purple and Gold are coming off a game where they came out of half time with a really bad mindset and blew their huge lead. Usually when a team loses its focus like that they come back even more focused for the next game.
LA is just starting to get healthy again. Nick “Swaggy P” Young has had two strong games since his return while D’angelo Russell has had mixed results on a minutes restriction. Even if the two aren’t at full strength just having them out there gives the purple and gold a better chance for victory every night. Because they are able to take their normal starting positions Luke can keep the bench mob together and hopefully playing like at the start of the season.
Another reason for optimism is that the Ice Man D’angelo Russell always seems to have huge games against the Brooklyn Nets and he’s coming off of a pretty solid game for himself despite the lack of minutes. He had 17 points in only 19 minutes and shot 60 % from the field as well as 75 from three.

Prediction
The Lakers will rediscover their passionate play from early in the season and win this game in the Barclays Center. The Nets are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference so the Lakers need to be able to beat these teams if they hope to get back into playoff contention.
