Larry Bird to represent Pacers at draft lottery

Published May. 12, 2015 2:04 p.m. ET

A week from today, the Indiana Pacers' future will become a little bit clearer. And, lo and behold, Larry Bird will be the man to deliver the fate of their 2015 NBA draft stock.

Bird will represent the Pacers as the ping pong balls bounce around and decide their prospects, as reported by Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports. The Pacers have a 2.9 percent chance at landing within the top three picks. The rest of the odds lie with them grabbing the No. 11 selection, based on how they landed in the standings at year's end.

Indiana's at a very uncertain point with their roster, and the only man you can be sure is sticking around as a starter and building block is franchise man Paul George. Every other position is somewhat unsafe, and Bird and Co. could take any number of directions in the draft this June. Keep your eyes peeled as their scouting process continues.
