NBA Live 16 announces Chris Paul as top-rated point guard
NBA Live used to be a more popular game back in the day, but people still anticipate the announcement of player ratings the same way as always. With that being true, Clippers fans should be excited about the highest-rated point guard in the game.
Here's what the curators of NBA Live 16, EA Sports, had to say about Chris Paul, the only 1-guard to receive a 95, on their website:
"Lob City is led by one of the best playmakers in the NBA and his ratings show it. CP3 has the top passer rating in the game, coming in with a 96 Pass Accuracy and 94 Court Vision. His handles? Ridiculous, with a 92 Dribble. Don’t forget about his deadly long-range ability: It’s a 93."
Paul has been the go-to answer for "Who's the best point guard in the world?" for some time, but last year, the debate started to become a little more cloudy. Stephen Curry walked away with the league MVP. Russell Westbrook had one of the best statistical seasons ever and finished ahead of CP3 in MVP voting. Both of those guys are clearly tremendous, and EA agrees, but apparently, one of the world's top gaming companies doesn't think they're any better than Paul.
Westbrook and Curry came darn close in the ratings and each earned 94s. Kyrie Irving, John Wall and Damian Lillard were all rated as 90s.
