NBA Playoffs Rundown with Ben Mehic - Timeout with Ti Podcast

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 9:11 p.m. ET

On the latest episode of Timeout with Ti, host Ti Windisch and guest Ben Mehic broke down each NBA Playoffs series. Take a listen.

With the 2017 NBA Playoffs now in full swing, I wanted to break down all eight of the matchups that NBA fans are getting to watch on a nightly basis. To that end, I brought on regular guest Ben Mehic to help me break down each and every series.

We started in the Western Conference, with the Golden State Warriors series against the Portland Trail Blazers. Not a ton of time was spent on this one, because Golden State seems to be handling the Blazers pretty easily.

Ben and I spent a little more time talking about the San Antonio Spurs series against the Memphis Grizzlies, if only to talk about Chandler Parsons' regression and yell "Take that for data!" at each other a whole bunch. That part was fun. Don't ever try to rook Ben and I.

We talked about a series we both had high hopes for after that, as we broke down Russell Westbrook vs James Harden in the Oklahoma City Thunder's matchup with the Houston Rockets. Ben and I hoped the teams would battle more, and luckily they did after we recorded, as the Thunder won Game 3 in Oklahoma City.

Finally we ended our time in the West by talking about the Los Angeles Clippers series against the Utah Jazz. As both of us hoped Rudy Gobert would be able to come back soon and make the series more competitive, another regrettable injury happened later that night after we recorded–Blake Griffin will likely miss the rest of the postseason. Injuries suck.

After finishing up out West, Ben and I moved to the Eastern Conference to talk about the Cleveland Cavaliers' thrilling comeback win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 3. Is LeBron James still the best player in the world? We think so.

Up next was the Boston Celtics series against the Chicago Bulls. Ben smartly thought the Celtics would stand a chance after Rajon Rondo's injury, and they did indeed end up winning Game 3 in Chicago.

We broke down the Milwaukee Bucks series against the Toronto Raptors next. Ben put a lot of respect on the Bucks name, which made me very happy as a Bucks blogger.

Finally, we broke down Ben's team, the Washington Wizards. The Wiz are likely going to dispatch the Atlanta Hawks in four or five games, and they're not even firing on all cylanders yet! The Wizards are in good position to make the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in a long time this postseason.

You can find the podcast here at Hoops Habit every week (when my voice works, that is), in addition to its home on iTunes and Stitcher for those of you NBA fans on the go.

Go show Ben some love, both on Twitter and at Wiz of Awes, the best source for Washington Wizards analysis on the internet.

Also, make sure to check out the musical stylings of Joey Burbs, who is kind enough to provide both the intro and outro music for Timeout with Ti. He's a good follow on Twitter as well.

Thanks for listening, as always, and let me know what you thought about the episode on Twitter!
