Oladipo literally gave shoes off his feet at Magic's 'Hoops for Hunger' event
The Magic were once again in the community on Tuesday, lending their support to families in need with the team's annual September "Hoops for Hunger" event. Magic star Victor Oladipo was on hand at Orlando's Rosemont Elementary School to help out, but it was his feet that stole the show.
According to the Magic's website, Oladipo was approached by a young girl who asked for his autograph. Rather than just scribbling his signature on a piece of paper, however, Oladipo reportedly took one shoe off, autographed it and gave it to the student. Later, he gave away his other shoe to a teacher at the school, forcing him to ask someone to go grab him a new pair of slides from his vehicle.
Former Magic players Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw were also in attendance to help stock the Love Pantry at the elementary school. Since 2011, the Love Pantry program has helped more than 8,000 family members in 63 different schools in central Florida.
