Player Grades: Marc Gasol and Co. beat the Pelicans

Behind Marc Gasol and his triple-double, the Memphis Grizzlies improve to 3-1 without Mike Conley, 14-8 on the season.
In a game that was probably as boring as it was dramatic, the Memphis Grizzlies showed that they still have that Grit n’ Grind mindset. Although he was over shadowed by Marc Gasols triple-double, Troy Daniels had a solid game. Daniels scored a team high 29 pts in the victory. With the slew of injuries the Grizzlies have already suffered, they will take all the wins they can, no matter how they have to win them.

Andrew Harrison
PG, Memphis Grizzlies
A-Filling in for the injured Mike Conley, Harrison has led Memphis to 3 straight wins. Though he finished the night hitting only 3-13 shots, Harrison was able to keep the offense working when he had to. Harrison has some big shoes to fill, but he seems to be doing just fine.
Troy Williams
, Memphis Grizzlies
CWilliams finished the game with a solid 11 pts, but was ineffective elsewhere. Williams finished the game with a +/- of -7.
Tony Allen
SG, Memphis Grizzlies
A+If we could give Tony Allen anything higher than an A+, believe me we would. Allen was outstanding, he played his usual hard-nosed defense, but he also grabbed 14 huge boards. The biggest surprise of the night though, was the 19, yes I said 19, points he scored. Allen was nothing short of fantastic.
JaMychal Green
PF, Memphis Grizzlies
B-Outside of being a big factor on the glass, grabbing 15 boards, Green didn’t do much else. Green didn’t have a bad game, but it wasn’t a great one either.
Marc Gasol
C, Memphis Grizzlies
A+Marc “Russell Westbrook” Gasol! Marc did his best Westbrook impression tonight, posting the franchises’ 10th triple-double. Gasol did everything right for Memphis, even his step-back three to tie it. If Marc continues to amaze, we will keep handing out these “A’s”.Next: Bench Grades
Jarell Martin
, Memphis Grizzlies
CPretty quite night for Jarell. He scored 2 point on 1-8 shooting. he also had a team worse +/- of -16.
Wade Baldwin
PG, Memphis Grizzlies
B+Since Baldwins promotion from the D-League, he has stepped his play up big time. He is playing more controlled, turning the ball over less, and being more patient on offense. That showed tonight he had 4 pts to go along with 4 assist.
Troy Daniels
SG, Memphis Grizzlies
*Toney Douglas also debuted for the Grizzlies. As you can expect it will take some time to adjust to his new teammates, it showed in the boxscore.
