The Kings are fresh off a loss to the Boston Celtics 97-92 on Thursday.  Below is a short highlight video from that game just in case you missed the action.

Without further ado, below is my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest at the New York Knicks.

Box Score Prediction

The New York Knicks are a struggling defensive team.  They rank 27th in the NBA in defensive rating by allowing 107.9 points per 100 possessions.  They are, also, 23rd in the NBA in opponent points allowed at 106.9 points per game against.

If you view the individual defensive ratings of the Knicks’ players the numbers are not strong.  Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose both give up over 110 points per 100 possessions.  Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony both allow more than 108.8 points per 100 possessions.  That is four out of five starters sitting well below average in defensive rating.

The numbers say the Sacramento Kings should have a good offensive game inside Madison Square Garden tonight.

I am predicting a truly dominant game from DeMarcus Cousins tonight.  With Joakim Noah questionable and some less than stout defense behind him, I just do not envision any way the Knicks can slow down Boogie.  I predicted 36 points for the big man but do not surprised if he cracks 40 for the first time this season.  Sit back and enjoy the show because I am expecting some big fireworks from DeMarcus Cousins tonight.

Summary

There you have it, my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest against the New York Knicks.  It should be a high-scoring affair between two teams who struggle on the defensive end, so if you enjoy a good shootout tonight is your ticket.
